Las tecnolog\u00edas de almacenamiento electroqu\u00edmico de la energ\u00eda, tales como las bater\u00edas, son muy prometedoras para permitir la necesaria transici\u00f3n de los combustibles f\u00f3siles a las fuentes renovables. Sin embargo, las tecnolog\u00edas m\u00e1s avanzadas de bater\u00edas de flujo (All-Vanadium y Zinc &#8211; Br2) o de bater\u00edas est\u00e1ticas (Na-ion y Li-ion) no consiguen satisfacer todos los indicadores clave de rendimiento, como la sostenibilidad, la vida \u00fatil, la reciclabilidad, la disociaci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda y potencia, el coste o la densidad energ\u00e9tica. El objetivo general del proyecto MeBattery es sentar las bases de una tecnolog\u00eda de bater\u00edas de nueva generaci\u00f3n que supere las limitaciones cr\u00edticas de las tecnolog\u00edas de bater\u00edas m\u00e1s avanzadas y que presente un excelente equilibrio entre estos indicadores clave de rendimiento. La visi\u00f3n radicalmente nueva de esta tecnolog\u00eda de bater\u00edas se basa en una combinaci\u00f3n de conceptos termodin\u00e1micos no convencionales que dar\u00e1n lugar a un cambio de paradigma en el almacenamiento de energ\u00eda. En particular, la nueva tecnolog\u00eda de bater\u00edas de flujo:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">posee las ventajas intr\u00ednsecas de los sistemas fluidos (reactor de conversi\u00f3n de energ\u00eda separado del dep\u00f3sito de almacenamiento de energ\u00eda)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">permite aumentar la densidad energ\u00e9tica mediante el almacenamiento de energ\u00eda en materiales s\u00f3lidos confinados en los dep\u00f3sitos externos, y<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">garantiza la estabilidad de los sistemas durante largos periodos de tiempo utilizando l\u00edquidos inmiscibles.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Aprovechando la experiencia complementaria de los socios altamente cualificados del consorcio MeBattery (entre los que se encuentran 3 ERC ganadores) en ciencia computacional, ciencia de los materiales, qu\u00edmica org\u00e1nica, qu\u00edmica medioambiental, ingenier\u00eda qu\u00edmica, electroqu\u00edmica y creaci\u00f3n de prototipos de bater\u00edas, el prototipo final pretende demostrar una tecnolog\u00eda de bater\u00edas de flujo de larga duraci\u00f3n, segura y ecol\u00f3gica, basada en materiales no cr\u00edticos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Participantes:<\/strong>\u00a0Universidad de Burgos (ES)
