Esto reduce el coste del combustible de la calcinaci\u00f3n, a la vez que convierte el CO<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0emitido en un producto de alto valor. El consumo de energ\u00eda de este proceso es elevado y puede contrarrestar los objetivos de un proceso de captura de carbono, que es reducir el impacto medioambiental general de la calcinaci\u00f3n de caliza mediante la fabricaci\u00f3n de productos basados en carbono. Por ello, un objetivo adicional del proyecto es reducir la huella de carbono global del proceso mediante la utilizaci\u00f3n de tecnolog\u00edas solares.
