left;}<\/style>\n<p>Green hydrogen is a versatile energy carrier that will play a fundamental role in meeting the decarbonization objectives to which Spain has committed itself, but a major effort in R&amp;D&amp;i is still needed for it to be considered as an economically viable alternative.<\/p>\n<p>This project proposes (i) the development of innovative technologies for hydrogen production by low and high temperature electrolysis and other innovative ways, (ii) the increase of efficiency in hydrogen production by optimizing the renewable electricity-electrolyzer connection, (iii) the development of technologies that allow the optimization of fuel cell integration in various applications, and (iv) the development of technologies for the safe combustion of hydrogen, pure or mixed, in end-use devices (combustors, engines, turbines).<\/p>\n<p>The results obtained will help support the national industry by providing it with electrolyzers with greater efficiency, durability and lower cost, as well as other hydrogen generating systems from concentrated solar energy; integration of fuel cells and direct combustion of hydrogen in transportation (air, maritime, rail and road), industry and building applications and the development of new combustion devices and\/or the adaptation of existing ones to move towards decarbonization and climate
