SYPMAT group at University Carlos III of Madrid (UC3M), aims to develop new Proton Hybrid Membranes (PHMs) composed of phosphonate Metal Organic Frameworks (MOFs) combined with proton conductor crosslinked multiblock copolymers for their use in electrochemical devices that produce electricity (PEMFCs) and green H<sub>2<\/sub> (PEMWEs). These PHMs will exhibit the advantages of both components: conductive crosslinked multiblock copolymers impart mechanical stability &amp; moderated swelling degree to the membrane, and MOFs improve the ionic conductivity due to its high capacity to retain water even at high temperatures, expanding the operating temperature.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Partners<\/strong>: IMDEA Energy Institute
