It is vital to develop a new generation of efficient technologies and materials based on renewable energies to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions and to reduce their atmospheric concentration by valorisation processes.<\/p>\n<p>In this context, the main objective of the FOTOFUEL Network is to face these challenges through the development of materials and devices for the production of solar fuels from abundant raw materials (CO<sub>2<\/sub>, H<sub>2<\/sub>O, N<sub>2<\/sub> and biomass), promoting synergy, cooperation and communication not only among the Network members but also with the whole scientific and business community in the field of renewable energies.<\/p>\n<p>The consortium is formed by some institutions, where different research groups are integrated, by universities and research centres (IMDEA Energy, ICP-CSIC, ICIQ, ITQ-UPV, IMDEA Materials, ICMM, UB, ICMS, UA, UJI, UNICAN, IREC, UPM) and including 3 ICTS (PSA-CIEMAT, CELLS, ESRF).
