“Programa de redes eléctricas digitales, estables y flexibles”
Research project corresponding to the R&D Activities Programme between Research Groups of the Community of Madrid in Technologies 2024, reference TEC-2024/ECO-287
PREDFLEX-CM aims to develop an intelligent system for energy monitoring and management in medium- and low-voltage distribution networks, efficiently integrating renewable energy sources, energy storage, and electricity consumption through Virtual Power Plants and Digital Twins of prosumers. The project seeks to ensure effective coordination between the Distribution System Operator and prosumers in order to maximize benefits and minimize energy curtailment, including dynamic modelling, participation in local flexibility markets, and the application of artificial intelligence. It will also address network planning for future scenarios with higher levels of electrification, including electric vehicles and electrolyzers, and will validate the feasibility of the proposed solutions through hardware-in-the-loop emulations in the consortium’s state-of-the-art laboratories.
