This call for projects provides\u00a0<strong>free access<\/strong>\u00a0to\u00a0<strong>18 installations<\/strong>\u00a0of\u00a0<strong>8 state-of-art research infrastructures<\/strong>\u00a0in Concentrated Solar Thermal power in\u00a0<strong>6 countries<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><strong>FRANCE<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CEA \u2013 ESTHER:\u00a0LHASSA\u00a0(Latent Heat Storage with PCM)<\/li>\n<li>CEA \u2013 DURASOL:\u00a0Opti-Lab\u00a0and\u00a0Indoor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>GERMANY<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>DLR:\u00a0Synlight\u00a0(High-flux solar simulator)<\/li>\n<li>Fraunhofer ISE:\u00a0WT Lab,\u00a0TES-LAb,\u00a0CD-Lab\u00a0(Durability testing of materials for concentrated solar thermal),\u00a0C-Lab Field\u00a0and\u00a0CD-Lab<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>PORTUGAL<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>University of Evora:\u00a0CER\u00a0(Renewable Energies Chair),\u00a0PECS\u00a0(Solar Concentrators Testing Platform),\u00a0INIESC\u00a0(National Research Infrastructure in Solar Energy Concentration) and\u00a0DNI-N<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>SPAIN<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>IMDEA:\u00a0HTPU-CDL\u00a0(Computational Design Lab for High Temperature Processes),\u00a0HTPU-LAB,\u00a0KIRAN42\u00a0(42kWe High Flux Solar Simulator) and\u00a0VHCST\u00a0(Very High Concentration Solar Tower)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>SWITZERLAND<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ETH Zurich:\u00a0HFSS\u00a0(High flux solar simulator) and\u00a0CHEM\u00a0(Chemical Laboratory)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>TURKEY<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>METU\/ODAK:\u00a0GunSolSim\u00a0(High flux solar simulator)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The campaign offers access to a wide spectrum of experiments such as:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Solar thermal electricity generation<\/li>\n<li>Solar fuels production<\/li>\n<li>Cycles for chemical storage of solar energy<\/li>\n<li>Solar water treatment<\/li>\n<li>Solar heating and cooling of buildings to improve energy efficiency<\/li>\n<li>Modelling and controlling of concentrating solar technologies for power plants and for industrial processes<\/li>\n<li>High value material synthesis and\/or coatings deposits<\/li>\n<li>High-flux photochemistry and photo-physics<\/li>\n<li>Characterisation of materials behaviour and properties under extreme conditions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The 5<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0SFERA-III campaign is open until 31 January 2023. The selected projects will benefit from 1 to 4 weeks of free access to the chosen facilities for a team of up to 2 persons.
