MDEA Energy Institute hosted a meeting between research and industry representatives within the framework of the SOLENER-CM project, with the aim of sharing scientific and technological advances, identifying the needs of the business sector and exploring new opportunities for collaboration in the field of sustainable energy technologies.
The meeting focused on some of the main challenges of the energy transition, including the development of batteries and electrochemical energy storage systems, fuel cells, electrolysers and hydrogen-related technologies.
During the event, the project partners presented the progress achieved in their different research areas, fostering an exchange of knowledge and experiences with industry representatives. This dialogue provided an opportunity to analyse the potential applications of the technologies developed, as well as the challenges associated with their transfer to the market, scale-up and integration into real-world energy solutions.
The event brought together representatives from companies and organisations including Master Battery, Naturgy, AJUSA, H2 Dron Energy, H2Greem, Moeve and the Centre for the Development of Technology and Innovation (CDTI), alongside the partners of the SOLENER-CM consortium.
To conclude the meeting, participants visited the IMDEA Energy Sandbox, an experimental infrastructure that enables the integration, demonstration and management of different energy technologies under conditions representative of real-world applications. The visit provided an opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the Institute’s capabilities for promoting the validation and demonstration of innovative energy solutions.
This event reinforces SOLENER-CM’s commitment to knowledge transfer and collaboration between the scientific and business sectors, two essential elements for bringing research results closer to practical applications and contributing to the development of a more sustainable, efficient and competitive energy system.
