On January 28, IMDEA Energy hosted the kick-off meeting of WAVE (Microbial-based bioprocesses towards dairy WAstewater reuse and conVErsion into new bioplastics), international project approved within the framework of the Water4All 2024 Joint Transnational Call.

This international initiative addresses two major environmental challenges: the global shortage of freshwater and the management of by-products from the dairy industry.

During the meeting, we set the foundations for the months ahead, reviewing planned activities across the different work packages and defining key strategies to maximise the project’s impact. It was also a great opportunity to strengthen collaboration and get to know each other better as this exciting journey begins.

Project Consortium: Technical University of Denmark (Denmark), the University of Valladolid (Spain), KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden), the International Hellenic University (Greece) and 21st BIO A/S (Denmark).
