Seminar Empowering Grid Stability with PV & BESS: Tackling Safety Challenges

On September 30th, IMDEA Energy will organize and host the seminar “Empowering Grid Stability with PV & BESS: Tackling Safety Challenges” sponsored by Sungrow and in collaboration with DNV. The morning session will address the safety and performance of Battery Energy Storage Systems. The morning session will address the Battery Energy Storage Systems BESS Safety & Performance, it will be opened by Jesús Palma, Deputy Director of IMDEA Energy and Vice President of Batteryplat, with the participation of speakers from Sungrow Juan Espinoza, Jaime Sánchez and Lin Xuesong and from DNV Carlos Hernández who will highlight the importance of security issues and the available solutions. The afternoon session will focus on grid stability and renewable integration, Milan Prodanovic, Head of the Electrical Systems Unit of IMDEA Energy, will discuss on Enhancing Grid Resilience & Flexibility with BESS in High-Renewable Penetration, and Sungrow technicians Henry Liu and Federico Feuchter will present Grid Forming Technologies, Black Start Capabilities, and Scalable PV Solutions. Both sessions will conclude with an open debate with attendees.

The seminar will be held in English and is aimed at renewable generation companies, power grid operators, battery manufacturers and integrators, technology companies and engineering firms in the energy, renewable energy, power electronics, and storage sectors, power-intensive companies, including sectors such as railways, as well as researchers in the field of renewable energy integration and storage systems.
