This week at IMDEA Energía we have celebrated a new edition of Science and Innovation Week, opening our doors to students and carrying out practical activities to showcase the scientific work carried out by the different units.

On Tuesday 12th it was the turn of the Electromechanics VET students from the Felipe Trigo Institute in Móstoles. During the meeting they visited the pilot plants of the Electrochemical Processes, Thermochemical Processes and Biotechnological Processes Units, learned how to manufacture bioplastics in the laboratory and tested their knowledge of energy sustainability through an interactive game.

On the second day, Wednesday 13th, it was the turn of the 4th year ESO students from the Alameda de Osuna School in Madrid, who took part in a workshop on concentrating thermal energy, learned how to make a solar cell and calculated their carbon footprint based on transport, consumption and energy, reflecting on the need to opt for less polluting practices.

More than 35 researchers participated in the development of these activities.
