H+MOFs: Novel proton-conducting MOF composites for fuel cell devices

XVII National Competition for the award of grants for Research in Life and Matter Sciences 2018 funded by Fundación Ramón Areces, led by Dr. Patricia Horcajada from IMDEA Energy Foundation.

The H+MOFs project, with a clear multi- and inter-disciplinary character (integrating chemistry, materials science, engineering and energy), aims to develop efficient proton conductors based on new MOFs and / or their composites. The most promising materials will eventually be incorporated as electrolytes in various polymer matrices, developing H2 / O2 fuel cells.
