Dr. Andreas Mavrantonakis participated in European Materials Research Society (E-MRS) Spring Meeting 2019

Dr. Andreas Mavrantonakis from the Electrochemical Processes Unit of IMDEA Energy participated in the 2019 Spring Meeting of the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS) from 27th to 31st May 2019 in Nice, France. The E-MRS Spring Meeting is a major conference in the field of Materials Science and Technology with over 2700 attendees coming from all over the world. It consists of 26 parallel symposia with invited speakers, oral and poster presentations, and 2 plenary sessions with two Nobel Laureates.

Dr. Mavrantonakis presented his latest work on the modeling of -based materials in Redox-Flow Batteries in an oral presentation entitled: “Investigation of the redox chemistry of phenazines using Density Functional Theory”. His presentation was part of the Symposium C, which is focused on “Batteries and Supercapacitors” and is one of many other symposia covering the field of Materials for Energy. Symposium C was one of the largest in the meeting with almost 200 participants.
