Future Utility 2025

On October 26, the Ilunion Atrium Hotel in Madrid will host the eighth edition of Future Utility, under the theme: “Innovation, digitalization, and new strategies to win over customers and ensure energy supply.”

As in previous editions, IMDEA Energía will actively participate. Félix Marín, Head of Technology Development and Transfer, will join executives and experts from organizations and companies such as Acciona, Canal de Isabel II, Engie, Eni Plenitude Iberia, Enso Energy Environment and Sustainability, Exolum, Ferrovial, Fortia Energía, Galp, Iberdrola, Met Energía, Niba, Octopus Energy, Quadient, Real Instituto Elcano, Redexis, Repsol, and TotalEnergies. He will take part as moderator of the panel “Geopolitics, energy load, and climate neutrality”, which will offer strategic perspectives on new energy vectors, artificial intelligence, and the evolution of business models, addressing key questions such as:

• What countermeasures are companies adopting to manage volatility and supply risks?

• Energy transition amid the national energy mix, slow investments, and rising demand: what strategies are being adopted to balance long-term vision with present resilience?

• AI and innovative technologies: how can their implementation be accelerated without losing short-term competitiveness?

• Which technologies truly deserve investment today?

The event, aimed at professionals from the energy sector and related industries, seeks to identify how energy networks (electricity, gas, water, etc.) will evolve in the future, the challenges of integrating sustainable generation, transport, storage, and distribution technologies, and their role in decarbonizing the economy and advancing the energy transition. It will also explore their impact on ensuring supply and delivering new services to customers. All this will be considered within the framework of regulation, business opportunities, scientific and technical progress, and digital transformation supported by technologies such as AI, IoT, and Blockchain.
