Newcomers seminar: “Towards a pilot plant for the production of green hydrogen”

Next January 26th at 12 we will hold a new session of the seminar for newcomers in the auditorium.

The first speaker will be Dr. David Muñoz-Torrero, from the Electrochemical Processes Unit, with the talk entitled “Towards a pilot plant for the production of green hydrogen”.

Dr. David Muñoz-Torrero Castaño obtained his PhD degree in Electrochemistry. Science and Technology at the Autonomous University of Madrid (2020) under the supervision of Dr. Rebeca Marcilla and Dr. Edgar Ventosa at IMDEA Energy (Electrochemical Processes Unit). His research aims to develop and optimize rechargeable batteries based on aluminium. During his PhD, he was granted a research stay at Electroanalysis and Sensors Research Group in the Ruhr-Universität Bochum (Germany) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Schuhmann. During this stay, he explored advanced electrochemical techniques such as the Electrochemical Microscope or the Scanning Droplet Cell (SDC) for their application in batteries. After his PhD, he joined Analytical Chemistry Department at Burgos University as a postdoctoral researcher in order to apply his knowledge in these advanced techniques to Li-ion batteries. Recently, Dr. David Muñoz-Torrero Castaño joined IMDEA Energy to work on the production of Green Hydrogen at pilot plant scale amongst other projects.

The event is finished.
