In celebration of Earth Day, which will be held on April 22nd, IMDEA Energy hosted a visit from more than 70 students from Rey Juan Carlos University, in an event dedicated to introducing students to research in clean energy.

The visit began in our auditorium, where Félix Marín, Head of Technology Transfer, welcomed the students with a presentation on the main research areas of the center and the key role that innovation and technological development play in the transition to a more sustainable energy model.

Throughout the tour, the students had the opportunity to explore the work being done in the various units of IMDEA Energy. They visited the Thermochemical Processes Unit laboratory, the Solar Simulator, the Pyrolysis Pilot Plant, and the Solar Field, where they were able to observe the operation of cutting-edge technologies for energy conversion and storage.

This initiative not only reaffirms our commitment to scientific outreach and education in the fields of sustainability and renewable energy, but also provides an opportunity to share our work with those who will be the professionals of the future.
