SEE CV

The main activity of the Power Systems Unit at IMDEA Energy is the development of intelligent algorithms for the proactive management of energy resources in electrical grids and microgrids. We work to improve the integration of renewable energies and storage and to enhance energy savings and efficiency.

Research lines

  • Integration of renewable energies and storage.
  • Control of power electronics converters for grid applications.
  • Stability of electricity grids with high penetration of renewable energies.
  • Optimal energy management and energy efficiency applications.

Facilities

We have an intelligent energy integration laboratory for the real-time simulation of electrical grids and microgrids, the development of energy resource management systems and the analysis of stability, power quality and control strategies for microgrids and power electronics converters.
